Winnsboro: A funeral service for Barbara Lou Douglas, age 64, were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Little River Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. James Clonts. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends in the sanctuary one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Douglas died on June 20, 2012 at Palmetto Health Richland. She was the wife of James Wilson Douglas and the daughter of Royce Kennedy Oder and the late Louise Skipper Oder. She was born Aug. 8, 1947 in Donaldsonville, Ga. and worked as a beautician. Mrs. Douglas was a member of Little River Baptist Church and the Woodbine Garden Club.
In addition to James, her husband of 29 years, Mrs. Douglas is survived by a son, James Ray Douglas and his wife Donna of Camden; her father and step-mother Royce Kennedy and Mary Oder; three brothers, Ken Oder and his wife Shirley, Charles Oder and his wife Jane, Terry Oder; two grandchildren, Will and Hannah as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Douglas was predeceased by a daughter, Shannon.
