Wayne “Pops” Blevins

Winnsboro: A memorial service for Wayne Eugene “Pops” Blevins, age 70, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Pope Funeral Home conducted by Chaplain Steven Anderson. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Mr. Blevins died in his home on Monday, June 18, 2012. He was the son of the late John Preston and Fannie Bray Blevins. He was born in Bristol, Tenn. on Nov. 23, 1941. “Pops,” as he was affectionately called, was a tool and die maker who was passionate about dirt track racing.

Mr. Blevins is survived by a son, Ronnie Wayne Blevins and his wife Leslie of Orangeburg; a sister, Judy Boyle of Bristol, Tenn. and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Gayle Blevins.

The family wishes to thank Jessica Large and her family for her dedicated and tender care of Mr. Blevins. The family also thanks Hospice Care of South Carolina.
