The Winnsboro Lions Club recently hosted guest speaker Mr. Dwight Gallaway (left), a board member from Sistercare of South Carolina. Lion Treasurer Teresa Reed (right) presented a check on behalf of the club to Mr. Gallaway for Sistercare. Club members also made individual donations to the charity which assists battered women including those in Fairfield County. The Winnsboro Lions Club makes financial contributions to several local service organizations as well as providing, on a limited basis, financial assistance for those needing eye exams and eyeglasses to indigent citizens of the county. The Club garners funds through its annual February pancake supper, by selling brooms, and by participating in Lions Candy Day each October.
