LAKE WATEREE: A memorial service for Ottis Winston LeGrand, age 61, was held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at Christ Central Community Center, 235 S. Congress St., Winnsboro, S.C., conducted by Pastor Jimmy Burroughs. The family received friends after the service.
Mr. LeGrand died at his home on Dec. 21, 2012. He was the husband of Ginny Williams LeGrand and the son of the late Ottis Winston and Kathleen McLendon LeGrand Sr. He was born in Columbia, S.C. on Aug. 26, 1951 and attended Spartanburg Junior College. He worked as a machinist for Siemens and attended Winnsboro First Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to Ginny, his wife, Ottis is survived by a daughter, Michelle LeGrand of Charleston, S.C.; two step-daughters, Virginia Barron of Columbia, S.C., Linda Kingsmore of Prosperity, S.C.; a brother, Mark (Laura) LeGrand of Belmont, N.C.; a sister, Kathy (Johnny) Henderson of Blythewood, S.C.; grandson, Peyton Kingsmore, and sister-in-law, Trev (William) Sherrod of Winnsboro, S.C.
