WINNSBORO: Funeral services for Gerald Wayne Ott, age 47, will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 at the Church of God of Prophecy conducted by Pastor William Smith. Burial will follow in Fairfield Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at Pope Funeral Home.
Mr. Ott died on Dec. 28, 2012 at Providence Hospital. He was the son of Walter Gerald Ott and the late Mary Ann Ott. He was born in Winnsboro on Dec. 8, 1965 and worked as a painter and a roofer.
In addition to his father Gerald, Mr. Ott is survived by his stepmother, Joverl Ott; a son, Steven Ott of Maryland; two sisters, Windy Payne and her fiancé Kyle Arant, Cheryl Johnson and her husband Dale, of Winnsboro; two step brothers, James Hinson of the home, Jack Hinson of Rock Hill; a grandmother, Bertha Windham; five nieces and a nephew, all of Winnsboro.
Mr. Ott was predeceased by a sister, Mary Cindy Ott.
