BLYTHEWOOD – Funeral services for John Phillip Palmarini Sr., age 86, were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Winnsboro First Church of the Nazarene, conducted by Pastor Harry Varn. Burial followed in the First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends on Sunday from 1-7 p.m. at the home, 1111 Andrew Jackson Road, Blythewood, and one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

Mr. Palmarini died in his home on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013. He was the husband of Betty Robinson Palmarini and the son of the late Vincent and Susie Rodriguez Palmarini. He was born on July 11, 1926 in New York, N.Y. Mr. Palmarini was a retired MSgt with the USAF and served Fairfield County as a law enforcement officer on both the Winnsboro Police Department and as a Deputy Sheriff. He loved his family and being at home with them.

In addition to Betty, his wife of 55 years, Mr. Palmarini is survived by a daughter, Peggy P. Frick, and her husband William; and two grandchildren, John William Frick and Michelle Suzanne Frick.

Mr. Palmarini was predeceased by a son, John Phillip Palmarini Jr.; and three brothers, Vincent, Joseph and Anthony Palmarini.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Harmon Patrick, SC Oncology and United hospice for their care over the last several years.
