James “Jim” Mullen Jr. of Winnsboro (right) was honored March 19 as an Ambassador for Economic Development by Gov. Nikki Haley (left) and the Department of Commerce as part of South Carolina’s Industry Appreciation Week. Mullen, vice president of Hacker Instrument & Industries, is actively involved in promoting positive change in the Winnsboro community and Fairfield County. Mullen is currently serving as chairman of the Midlands Regional Education Center Advisory Board. He also serves as the president of the Winnsboro Rotary Club and is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce’s CEO Roundtable Group, as well as the Fairfield Quick Jobs Center Advisory Board.
