This 300-ton deaerator passed through Ridgeway last Thursday, on its way to the number 2 reactor construction site at the V.C. Summer Nuclear Station in Jenkinsville. Moving at 5 MPH, the going was slow, but steady. After the truck left Ridgeway, however, crew with SCE&G failed to replace a key piece of electrical equipment, leaving the town without water and triggering a boil advisory.
