Blythewood letter carrier Kathy Davis receives a bag of food donated by one of her postal customers, Bob Hanes. The donation is part of the Fairfield County and Blythewood rural letter carriers annual food drive for the hungry. The carriers will be picking up food donations along their routes on Saturday, May 11. Postal customers who want to donate are asked to leave canned or packaged non-perishable food in a bag at their mailbox Saturday morning before the time their carrier usually arrives. The carrier will take the food back to the post office where it will be distributed to food banks in the community. (No glass containers, rusty or unlabeled cans or homemade items can be accepted.)
