Michael “Big Bubba” Scott Jones

WINNSBORO – Michael “Big Bubba” Scott Jones was born on Dec. 6, 1968, in Winnsboro, S.C. He was the youngest child of the late Marvin Craig and Mary Jones. He was called home to rest on June 14, 2013. Funeral services for Michael will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Palmetto Funeral Service Chapel in Winnsboro, S.C. Visitation will be Monday, June 17, from 2 to 7 at Palmetto Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Winnsboro, S.C.

Michael “Big Bubba” Jones was educated in the public schools of Fairfield County. He was employed by Manhattan and enjoyed brick masonry. He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Winnsboro, S.C. and was a member of The Spoilers softball team.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Mary “Penny” Jones and father Marvin Craig; maternal grandparents Lonnie and Josephine Adams and paternal grandparents Edward and Julia Mae Craig.

Michael leaves to cherish fond memories: his only sister, Julia Marie Jones of Winnsboro, S.C.; two brothers, Marvin Donnell Jones and Eric Maurice Alston, both of Winnsboro, S.C.; eight aunts, Hazel Adams, JoEllen Trapp, Kimberly Adams, Michelle Alexander, Joyce Adams, Virginia Mack and Dorothy Watkins, all of Winnsboro, S.C., and Margie Craig Stundivant of Temple Hill, MD; one uncle, Michael Craig; his foster mother, Lila Jackson of Winnsboro, S.C.; five extended brothers, Bobby Jones, Timothy Jones, Gregory Jones and Andre Jones, all of Winnsboro, S.C.; Terry Jones of Great Falls, S.C.; three extended sisters, Virginia Jones and Tracy Jones, both of Winnsboro, S.C., and Tammy Hart of Jenkinsville, S.C.

Michael also leaves with great memories: two close nieces, Monica “Punkin” Gibson, KaNeka “Booke” Goins and one great nephew Willie Boulware Jr. and a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
