The Blythewood Artist Guild opened its new shop on Tuesday with an open house, refreshments and lots of browsing. Ridgeway shop owners Denise Jones (Cotton Yard Market), left, and Tina Johnson (Over the Top Emporium), right, enjoy refreshments and visiting with metal sculptor Jim Young and Sandy Kahn who owns the building where the Guild’s shop is housed. The shop is located at 152-B Blythewood Road behind Sandy Kahn’s State Farm Insurance office. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesdays through Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. The shop offers all manner of artwork from paintings to jewelry. The Guild plans to offer not only items for sale but classes and special programs as well.
