Ag + Art Tour Coming to Fairfield

WINNSBORO – Planning for the first Ag + Art Tour for Fairfield County is under way and applications for farmers and artisans are now being accepted. Farmers and artisans who want to participate must sign up by March 18. The tour is part of the first Catawba Regional Ag + Art Tour that is slated for June 21-22 at local farms in Chester, Fairfield, Lancaster and York counties. Tours will be on Saturday from 9 – 5 and 1 – 5 on Sunday. The tour is free.

Farmers and artisans in Fairfield County can apply online at www.catawbaagandarttour.com/fairfield.

The Catawba Regional Ag + Art Tour will be a weekend-long self-guided tour that will link together the established agricultural aspects and happenings of Chester, Fairfield, Lancaster and York counties, while adding an art component, including potters, quilters, musicians, storytellers, jewelers, painters and more. Everything on the tour is handmade and homegrown in the four participating counties.

The Tour is an extension of the original Ag + Art Tour which was first held in 2012 in York County. Since the inaugural tour, community leaders from neighboring counties have joined together to form the Catawba Regional Ag & Art Tour.
