Shirley Claudine Humphries

WINNSBORO – Funeral service for Ms. Shirley Claudine Humphries, 78, of Winnsboro will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Winnsboro First Church of the Nazarene, conducted be the Rev. Harry Varn, the Rev. Carey Pratt and the Rev. Mickey Cockrell. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the burial at First Church of the Nazarene.

Born in Fairfield County, Ms. Humphries was the daughter of the late Kervin and Lillie Faust Beasley. She leaves behind a large loving family and will be dearly missed, especially by her great-grand dog Toby who she loved very much.

Ms. Humphries is survived by two sons, Tommy (Janice) Humphries of Winnsboro and Brian (Esther) Humphries of Winnsboro; four daughters, Helen (Jimmy) Walters of Winnsboro, Carol (Donnie) Anderson of Winnsboro, Patti (Gene) Strickland of Elgin and Karen (Steve Cooper) Wilson of Winnsboro; one brother, Cecil Beasley of Winnsboro; two sisters, Marilyn Branham of Ridgeway and Clivie McDonald of Winnsboro; 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Humphries is predeceased by her loving husband Wylie Humphries and seven siblings.

Memorials may be sent in Ms. Humphries’ memory to the First Church of the Nazarene Teen Catalyst, 650 Ninth Street, Winnsboro, S.C. 29180.
