Lady Bengals Dump Lexington

BLYTHEWOOD – The Lady Bengals volleyball squad bounced back from a first set setback Tuesday night to chase the Lady Wildcats back to Lexington, 3-1 (2-25, 25-10, 25-17, 25-21).

The Lady Bengals were led by Bijonae Jones’s 27 serves, 10 aces, 18 kills, 20 digs and 10 serve receives. Also stirring the pot on the hardwood were Leah Gunter (9 serves, 1 ace, 4 kills, 25 assists, 3 digs), Azhia Carter (14 serves, 9 serve receives, 15 kills), Di’Ahrah Hall (9 serves, 1 ace, 23 serve receives, 20 digs), Gabby Waden (20 serves, 1 ace, 4 blocks, 1 kill) and Chania Rispress (16 serves, 1 ace, 16 assists, 9 digs).

The Lady Bengals (8-0-2) will participate in the Nation Ford Invitational tournament Saturday (Sept. 6), then travel to River Bluff Sept. 9.
