ANDERSON – The Lady Redhawks fell in the first round of playoffs to TL Hanna on Oct. 23 with scores of 18-25, 24-26 and 20-25. The Redhawks put up a great offensive battle; however the Westwood defense accounted for a few mental errors that cost the Lady ‘Hawks some close points late.
It was point for point in every match up until about 15 points. Then the errors gave the Lady Yellow Jackets momentum that Westwood was not able to overcome.
The offense was led by Jamila Minor with 41 attacks and 15 kills. Kelsey Keesee followed with 27 attacks and 4 kills. Jordan Jones was next with 22 attacks and 2 kills. Jordan led blocks with 7, followed by Jaida Carter with 5 and Kelsey with 4. The Lady Redhawk defense stepped up against TL Hanna’s ability to hit around blocks. Jamila led the defense with 20 digs, followed by Jordan with 10 and Madison Oxendine with 9.
