COLUMBIA (Jan. 13, 2016) – A white flag was needed for Blythewood’s Lady Bengals Tuesday night. The Lady Vikings (13-1, 2-0) took no prisoners as they romped the Lady Bengals (4-12, 1-2) 82-34 for the third time this season.

The Lady Vikes took the Nov. 23 meeting 51-32, and the Dec. 28 rematch 64-33. All told, Spring Valley has outscored the Lady Bengals 197-99 this season.

“We are not up to the gold standards of Spring Valley just yet,” Lady Bengals head coach Steve Inabinet said about Tuesday’s game.

Despite a good game from senior guard Lauren Harley, who dumped in 16 points, the Lady Bengals could not keep pace with the well-seasoned Vikings that had every member of their team score a point in Tuesday’s game.

“We were no match for their relentless pressure they put onto the court from the opening tip and it showed from the final score,” Inabinet said. “We will continue to improve in our games so we can end up delivering a better effort in our next game.”

The Lady Bengals host Lugoff-Elgin Friday, then take on Westwood at home on Jan. 19.
