Watkins and his team are headed to Pebble Beach after winning the four-person team, handicap division, scramble format tournament at the National Kidney Foundation Golf Classic at Cobblestone Park Golf Club on March 21. Local golfers teed off to raise funds to fight kidney disease at the NKF Golf Classic. The event generated more than $40,000 to support the National Kidney Foundation’s awareness, prevention and treatment programs. It also earned the top three teams in each division invitations to play in the National Finals at the Pebble Beach Resorts in January 2017.
