WINNSBORO – William Donald “Donnie” Smith, 63, died on Monday, Feb. 29, 2016. Born in Columbia, S.C., he was the son of the late Albert Smith and Annie Powers Douglas. Donnie will be remembered as being The Herald’s and The Voice’s friendliest paperboy. He will be dearly missed.
Memorial services for Donnie will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Winnsboro First Church of the Nazarene conducted by the Rev. Harry Varn. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
Donnie is survived by his mother, Annie Powers Douglas; two brothers, Michael David and Kenneth Eugene Smith; one sister, Caroline Smith Hall; and two nieces, Rebecca Cassellas and Ashley Anderson.
Memorials may be sent in Donnie’s memory to The First Church of the Nazarene, 650 Ninth St., Winnsboro, S.C. 29180.
