Erma P. Johns

WINNSBORO – Funeral services for Erma Pylant Johns, 88, of Winnsboro will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016 at Stephen Greene Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. Mickey Cockrell. Burial will follow in Stephen Greene Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the church.

Mrs. Johns entered eternal rest on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016. Born in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of the late Elvin and Nealie Mincey Pylant. She was a member of Stephen Greene Baptist Church.

Mrs. Johns is survived by a son, Anthony Scott Johns (Lisa); daughter, Patti Johns Chitwood (Jim); daughter-in-law, Cecilia Johns; brother, Vernon Pylant; sisters, Madine Herington and Bonnie Walker; five grandchildren, Carmen, Hannah, Jake, Jarred and Hailey; and two great grandchildren, Brynn and Vivien.

In addition to her parents and husband, Homer Floyd Johns, she is predeceased by a son, Frank Phillip Johns; daughter, Tanya Renee Johns; and two sisters, Jo Ellen Pylant Mancuso and Iris Pylant Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Erma’s memory to Stephen Greene Baptist Church, 500 Seventh Street, Winnsboro, S.C. 29180.
