Merchants in Blythewood, Winnsboro and Ridgeway are encouraging shoppers to shop local on Saturday after Black Friday. Shops in the three towns will be offering sales and surprises. At Ridgeway’s tiny police station, starting about 10 a.m., Saturday, Louise and Doug Ruff will be handing out free Shop Small shopping bags bulging with discounts, goodies and prizes to the first 65 folks who stop by. Preparing to stuff the Shop Small bags are: Sandy James (Antiques & Oddities), Dede Ruff (Ruff Furniture), Carol Allen (Laura’s Tea Room) Robbie and Dan Martin (Palmer Street Market and Cotton Yard Market), Angelina Surina (Old Town Hall Restaurant) and Tina Johnson (Over the Top Boutique).
