WINNSBORO – Ms. Connie Strickland Shackelford, 56, of Winnsboro, S.C., entered into rest on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016. Born in Richmond County, Ga. and a resident of Winnsboro, S.C., for the past nine years, she was a daughter of James Leonard Strickland Sr. of Winnsboro, S.C. and Donnis Baker Strickland, of Gulf Shores, Ala. Connie was Grant/Community Development Director for the Town of Winnsboro. In addition to her parents, family members include her children, Tiffany Strickland and Kristin Heath-Strickland, of Cartersville, Ga., and Phillip Shackelford, of Atlanta, Ga. and siblings Theresa Hatcher, of Trenton, S.C. and the late James Leonard Strickland Jr. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
