ANDERSON (March 1, 2017) – Westwood sent five Redhawks to the State individual wrestling meet last weekend at the Anderson Civic Center, with three bringing home hardware.
Although Robert Sumpter and Raekwon Davis were eliminated in the first round, Darieus McCaskill earned third place in the 220-pound weight class and Brice Harkness took third in the 170-pound class. Sky Davis, meanwhile, was good for fourth in the 160-pound class.
This was a record number of individual qualifiers for Westwood. As a team, the Redhawks finished 10th in the state.
