MT. PLEASANT – The Blythewood Lady Bengals’ magnificent season on the volleyball courts came to an end against the Wando Warriors in round three of the playoffs. Blythewood needed just one more win to make it to the semi-finals, but Wando crushed that dream with a 3-0 victory.
The number one-seed Warriors zoomed out to a quick start to over the two-seed Bengals with a 25-11 victory in set one. Blythewood kept it closer in set two, but still dropped the set 25-20, and Wando coasted with a 25-16 win in the final set.
The Lady Bengals finished the season with a 29-8-3 record.
