Lady Griffins top Camden in region matchup

WINNSBORO – The Lady Griffins continue to roll through their region opponents, defeating Camden 40-32 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs kept it tight offensively in the first half and only trailed by 4 after the first half.

Though Fairfield Central held the lead most of the game, Camden held the Griffins to only six points in the third quarter. The Griffins headed to the final period with only a one point lead, 29-28.

Fairfield’s defense turned it on in the fourth, allowing only four points from Bulldog scorers. Cristin Gray’s 22 points led the Griffins in their tight win over the Bulldogs. The Griffins (10-8 overall, 6-0 region) are at Central Thursday.
