Lady Griffins receive postseason awards

WINNSBORO – Despite a second round playoff loss, the Fairfield Central Lady Griffins are fresh off of one of their best seasons in program history, and the players and staff are now getting their due recognition.

Senior Tameshia Woodard was named the Region 3A player of the year with her nine points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game. Woodard also earned All-State Team honors. Her teammates Lakeyn Boyd, Cristin Gray and Collier have been named to All-Region team.

Last but not certainly not least, Griffins’ head coach Amelia Miller was named the Region 3A Coach of the Year.
