WINNSBORO – The Church of the Nazarene in Winnsboro and about 25 volunteers will host the annual Red Cross Spaghetti Fundraiser meal on Thursday from 11:30 a.m.- 2 p.m. (lunch) and 4 – 6:30 p.m. (dinner) at the church.

The event raises several thousand dollars for the Red Cross every year.

“We sold 400 spaghetti meals last year and I can’t begin to count how many desserts,” volunteer cook and server Norma Branham said. “We sold out of meals, and donated the leftover desserts to the church’s Crock Pot Ministry. It was just a wonderful event,” she said.

“Groups of friends or businesses can order meals to go or come in to eat lunch or dinner. Meal service will continue throughout the day,” Branham said.

Besides ordering meals, some groups, including Fairfield County Sheriff’s Department, Bi-Lo and the Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department made monetary donations.

Ordering meals for delivery were Drs. Wilkins/Warren’s dental office, the Fairfield County School District, the Courthouse, First Citizens Bank, Martin Primary Health Care and Fairfield Medical Associates.

The church is located at 650 9th Street in Winnsboro.
