Ethan Barton got it done with the bat and on the mound against the Falcons. Barton not only knocked in the go ahead home-run in the sixth inning, but he also pitched the Redhawks out of a sticky situation in the seventh to preserve the win.

The Redhawks suffered a tough setback in their third game of the tournament against Nation Ford. Westwood’s pitching was solid and only allowed two-runs, both coming in the sixth inning, but they had a hard time finding success with the bats.

The potent Nation Ford pitching effort held Westwood to a scoreless performance, but they found their stroke in their last game Richland Northeast. Westwood nearly doubled up the Cavaliers in the final game of the tournament, and improved to 2-2 with their 13-7 blowout win.

Matthew Oxendine earned Carolina Ale House Invitational All-Tournament team honors.

The Redhawks will travel to Richland Northeast on Tuesday for a 7:00 conference game.
