WINNSBORO – It was a bright, sunny day for a sidewalk sale in downtown Winnsboro on Saturday. The annual Winnsboro Merchants’ Sidewalk sale was a big success with about 20 vendors lining the shady side of Congress Street and a few on the sunny side. Shoppers picked through clothing, jewelry, accessories, memorabilia, furniture, games, lamps, dinnerware, you name it. The Cornwallis Tea room, the Winnsboro House of BBQ and The Barn Express had brisk business until well after the lunch hour, and most of the merchants were open all day.
- Oldies & Goodies held a raffle drawing for a deluxe cooler (made and donated by O & G vendor Johnny Frick) to raise funds for Zan Levy’s medical costs. Winner of the cooler was Lee Williams. From left: Shirley Levy, Zan Levy, Robert Pemberton (store owner) and Johnny Frick.
- Anne Lee, who never misses a Winnsboro merchants’ sidewalk sale, purchased a t-shirt from Sunshine and Serenity.
- TeTe Dewese, 12, who attends Midlands STEM Institute, tags along as her mom, Rosenna Dewese, center, shops at Sara Pearson’s jewelry booth.

- Paisley Richardson, 5, (right) knew just what she was looking for – a cute, colorful, cool summer outfit – and she found that and more at Charlene Millings sidewalk booth. Paisley’s mom, Christina Richardson, owns Petal Pushers Uptown on S. Congress Street.
