Bengal and Redhawk softball players are Midlands stat leaders

COLUMBIA – Westwood and Blythewood baseball players were not the only ones who were well-represented in the Midlands’ stat leaders. Lady Bengal Kendall Parker’s two home runs were good enough to earn her spot on the list, and she led all hitters from the Blythewood and Fairfield areas. Her teammate Sammy Hall notched a top-15 finish in RBIs with 13.

Westwood’s Renee Kinney’s .524 average was good enough for fifth place in the Midlands. Blythewood’s Grace Campbell was a few spots back with a .500 average. Hall hit for .375 and Cayla Petty from Westwood batted .346 to round out the list.

Campbell also finished sixth in doubles with six, and second in triples with 2. Blythewood’s Parker and Westwood’s Marlena Perez led the Blythewood and Fairfield area pitching with four wins.

Perez also finished in the top in strikeouts with 51.
