BHS XC has strong season opener

CHARLOTTE – Alan Deogracias’s time of 16:14.62 was good enough for tenth place in the boys 500M championships at the Providence Invitational, which helped power the Bengals’ boys cross country team to a 13th place overall finish in their season opening meet. Daniel Turnipseed had the next best time for the boys, clocking in at 17:24.50.

Kendall Shealy was the top runner on the girls’ side with a time of 24:02.42. The Bengals participate in the Eye Opener meet in Spartanburg on Sept.1 before a home meet next Wednesday.
