WINNSBORO – Expect to see artists painting the town in Winnsboro Friday and Saturday. They will be the local component of a national Paint Out event taking place this weekend, sponsored by Oil Painters of America (OPA).

Local and visiting plein air artists, dedicated to capturing the changing light and shadows of nature, will be painting scenes and buildings around town.

The event will culminate with judging of the art at 3 p.m., Saturday. The public is invited to join the artists for an art reception at the Woman’s Club, 102 S. Vanderhorst St., at 4 p.m., where the day’s art will be on display. Ribbons and prizes will be awarded to the winners.
