BLYTHEWOOD – Blythewood girls golf had a historic showing en route to their Region 5A title. Ella Stalvey topped the team with a 72 and was the overall medalist. Lindsey Hoile was first runner-up with a 75, and Parker Stalvey was right behind her with a 76. Cori Langford shot a 77 and Lizzie Madden tallied a 78. All five girls earned All-Region honors.
Then on Monday night the Bengals clinched the 5A Upper State Championship. Ella Stalvey shot a 70 and once again sported the top score for the team. Lindsey Hollie and Parker Stalvey both shot 72. Cori Langford finished the day with a 74 on the scorecard.
The 5A State Tournament will be held Oct.22-23 at Mid-Carolina Country Club.
