Bengals keep swinging

BLYTHEWOOD – Blythewood tennis opened up their 2018 playoff bid with a first round straight set sweep over the Riverside Warriors and dispatched Mauldin 5 -1 on Monday. Erica Zipple, Hannah Myers, Jordan Slagle and Emma Boran picked up singles wins and Kinsey Todd and Rachel Truitt won doubles.

The Bengals faced JL Mann in the third round on Wednesday and came away with a tight 4-3 win. Zipple Myers and Boran won singles. Myers and Zipple also teamed up to defeat Emerson Mitchell and Lannea Brown in a doubles contest.

The Lady Bengals will travel to Spartanburg for a semifinal match against Spartanburg High School on Monday.
