Beyond the Classroom

WINNSBORO – Renowned child advocacy artist George E. Miller II served as Fairfield Middle School’s (FMS) Artist in Residence for two weeks planning and creating a mural with thirteen students to showcase their talents beyond the classroom. Ideas for the mural were created by the students and sent to Mr. Miller, who compiled the ideas into one theme. The thirteen students painted on a rotating basis throughout the two weeks. The mural was unveiled in a ceremony on Nov. 2.
