Griffins show growth

WINNSBORO – The Fairfield Central Griffins wrestling program hosted their second meet of the year over the weekend. The Brawl-In-the-Hall at Fairfield Central went down on Saturday, and while the results may not have been what the Griffins were looking for, the young program continued to show growth.

Joseph Talbert went through the entire meet without a loss in the heavyweight division. Talbert is the second Griffin in have an unblemished record at the end of Fairfield hosted dual. Chandler Mount when undefeated at heavyweight division the last time the Griffins competed at home.

The Griffins are scheduled to wrestle again Dec. 29 at Chesterfield High School’s Subway Ram Rumble and Jan. 3 at Rock Hill.
