Letters: R2 Board should set good example

I have been reading the articles recently regarding the Richland Two School Board members’ lack of responsibility in properly following the rules of board membership – filing required forms.

Why does a person in the responsible position of leading our schools not realize children learn by example? Why does a person expect others should respect them for their position if they don’t respect themselves by being good, law abiding citizens? Why do some people feel they are better than the rest? Why don’t they think the rules apply to them?

And we wonder why South Carolina schools are not able to do a better job of educating our children. I would suggest it is not only the teachers that have the responsibility to teach our youth.

Example speaks louder than words!
