The Voice of Blythewood & Fairfield County

Relay for Life kicks off

BLYTHEWOOD – The Relay for Life of Blythewood was kicked off Sunday afternoon with a meeting at Doko Manor of team leaders, volunteers and school representatives who will be organizing the Relay day set for May 3 at Doko Park. This year’s theme for fundraising teams will be ‘musical genres.’

Team leaders Kim Small, left, and Alex Oliver, joined Mayor J. Michael Ross and Westwood High School Principal and organizer Cheryl Guy in inviting the community to pick up a change can (held by Ross), fill it up and return it as one way to help raise money to combat cancer.
