Bengals Track and Field finish in top 10

CHARLOTTE – Blythewood track headed to North Carolina Saturday for the Trojan Invitational. Both teams clocked top 10 overall finishes, the boys in fifth and the ladies at seventh.

Chase Ishmael finished third for the boys in the 100m. The Bengals took home sixth in the 4×800 and seventh in the 4×100 relay.

Nick Rogers earned the top spot in the shot put. Patrick Godbolt and Jayden Addison also finished inside of the top five. Rogers also claimed first place in the discus throw. Randy Kelly and Payton Manuel tied for first in the high jump.

Ariana Williams finished fourth in the 400 for the Lady Bengals. Teleah Moorer finished fifth in the 110M hurdles. The 4×400 relay team came in second and the 4×800 team landed in the sixth slot.

MaKayla Jones and Janiya Pinkney finished in a tie for sixth in high jump and Kayla Ulmer earned a third place finish in the triple jump.

The Bengals hosted Spring Valley and Ridge View for a home meet Wednesday, but results were not available at press time.
