BLYTHEWOOD – The Blythewood girls and boy soccer teams earned region 5-5A wins over rival Spring Valley on Tuesday night. The Lady Bengals edged out the Vikings out 3-2 in penalty kicks after regulation ended in a 1-1 tie. Kayla Reese scored Blythewood’s lone regulation goal with an assist from Lauren Hendry.
Patrick Orr notched his 100th career point with an assist in the Bengals’ 2-1 win over the Vikings. KJ Blocker netted his first varsity goal, and Jax Gouvin got 15 saves in the goal.
