BLAIR – Congressman James Clyburn gazes on the casket of his longtime friend, Blair resident Johnny Peoples, whose life was celebrated on March 2 at McCrorey-Liston School of Technology. Resolutions and proclamations were presented from Peoples’ alma mater Benedict College, from the State General Assembly and others. Among his many contributions to his hometown of Blair and other parts of the county, Peoples founded the Blair Coalition of Churches and the annual Blair Family Day & Parade, now in its fourteenth year.
