Ridge View bests Redhawks

BLYTHEWOOD – Westwood fell 4-6 to Ridge View on Tuesday night. The Blazers went up 4-2 after the first inning and tacked on two more in the fourth to secure the win.

BJ Williams picked up the loss, facing 21 batters in 3.1 innings on the mound, allowing four earned runs on one hit, walking seven and striking out five. John Janco pitched 2.1 innings and allowed only one hit and one walk, striking out three. Eddie Olmeda faced six batters in 1.1 innings. Olmeda allowed one hit and gave up one walk while striking out one.

Joseph Bennett went 2-3 with an RBI. Olmeda (1-4) picked up two RBIs and Coby Buck had one. Dylam Bailey went 1-1 with a triple.

Westwood travels to Richland Northeast Friday for a conference game.
