Lady Bengals stun Sumter

BLYTHEWOOD –  Kathy Knight’s Bengals continued their stroll through the schedule last Friday with a 6-1 topple of Sumter.

Claudia Watson had a big night with four goals on assists from Katie Murphy, Amy Carroll and two from Meredith Stone. Liz Schossler also found the goal on an assist by Sam Boyt, and Arianna Paez scored on a penalty kick.

Tuesday night’s game against Lugoff-Elgin was rescheduled for April 22, when the Bengals will honor their eight seniors.

The Bengals, who sit at a perfect 6-0 in the region, will travel to Spring Valley on Thursday for a 7 p.m.  kick off. Blythewood handed the Vikings their only region loss of the season by shootout when they last met on March 26.
