COLUMBIA – Qualifying track and field athletes from Fairfield Central’s boys and girls teams headed to Spring Valley High School May 10 – 11 for the 3A State Final Track Meet.

Junior Krishayla Boyd racked up 16 points for the Lady Griffins in her individual events. The team finished 14th of 31 teams with 20 total points.
Boyd placed third in the 100m dash with a time of 12.27, third in the 200m dash at 25.90 and fourth in the 400m dash at 1:00.70.
Boyd also ran in the 4x100m relay with Karis Davis, ZyKirah Davis and Tamerra English for a fifth place finish with a finals time of 50.28.
The Griffin boys relay team of Malik Beaver, Malik Coleman, Jarrod Neal and Sammie Robinson placed eighth in the 4×800 with a finals time of 8.38.75.
