Town Bids Farewell

BLYTHEWOOD – Former S.C. Senator Joel Lourie, left, and House Rep. (41) Annie McDaniel joined Mayor J. Michael Ross, right, to bid farewell to Blythewood’s first magistrate, Judge Josef Robinson, during a drop-in at the Manor on Thursday evening.

Robinson was appointed five years ago by Lourie. He was notified by current Senator Mia McLeod that he would not be reappointed.

“He has served our town well,” Ross told the 50+ friends and family who attended the reception. “And we are going to miss him.”

Robinson will be joining the public relations office of the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
