Bengals power through region

BLYTHEWOOD – Bengals Tennis kicked off a marathon stretch of matches Sept. 25 with a 6-0 win over Camden High School. They took down Lugoff-Elgin on Sept. 26 for a 6-0 region win and won a tight 4-2 match over Spring Valley on Oct. 1. Sophie Carlton, #2, won the deciding point in a tiebreaker, 3-6, 6-4 (10-7). 

The Bengals, still undefeated in region play, were slated to host Lexington on Wednesday, but the match was cancelled. They will face Ridge View on Oct. 3 for a home match and will travel to Irmo on Oct. 8 for their next region match. In their last meeting, Blythewood swept Irmo 6-0.
