CHARLOTTE – Fairfield Central competed in the Wendy’s Invitational Oct. 5. The Griffin boys finished 19th place of 25 teams with an average 18:26 time.
Sammie Robinson crossed the finish line first for the Griffins, 66th place overall at 17:57.30. Malik Beaver followed closely for a 72nd place finished at 18:08.00. Joshua Mosley finished at 18:15.70, Luke Downs at 18:51.20, Malik Coleman at 18:58.30. Giacomo Rutigliano rounded out Griffin runners at 20:35.00.
Griffin girls finished 29th overall with an average 29:38 time. Nia Lemon led the Griffin girls with a 23:38.9 finished, followed by Ashanti Thompson at 24:33.30.
Fairfield Central is back in action Oct. 12 in Camden at the Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic. They will return to Camden for the Cici’s Derby on Oct. 26 before the region meet on Oct. 29.
