Sheriff hosts Ghosts & Goblins

WINNSBORO – Fifty or so young ghosts, goblins and witches converged on the Sheriff’s Department in Winnsboro Saturday for trick-or-treating, games, prizes and a costume contest.

Judging the ghoulish group were three of the County’s finest – Sheriff’s Deputies Bill Dove, Oren Gadson and Jana Childers whose husband, Chris, is a deputy. After studying the costumes and characters, the judges picked the winners (pictured below) and Fairfield County Sheriff Will Montgomery, center, awarded prizes to the winners: Jamarcus Wright, 11, left, as the grim reaper and Remmington Grace McKinney, 14 months, (in the arms of her dad) who came disguised as the Cookie Monster. At right, Maci King was busy leading her white horse (Leah Branham) around while the other contestants asked to pose for pictures with the steed.
