BW tree lighting set for Dec. 1

BLYTHEWOOD – The Blythewood Christmas Tree Lighting is set for Sunday, Dec. 1, from 5 – 6 p.m. in the front yard of Town Hall.

The Christmas season officially begins in Blythewood with the annual lighting of the town’s Christmas tree. Music will be provided by various church choirs, Free Way Music students and others. Santa will be on hand to take children’s orders for Christmas and refreshments will be served. The community is invited. Culmination of the evening will be the lighting of the tree.

The Christmas Parade will follow the next weekend, Sunday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m. Deadline for entries is Saturday, Nov. 30. To enter a float, to become a parade sponsor or for more information, email [email protected].
