Eagles clean house in Holiday Tourney

WINNSBORO – Richard Winn’s girls team went 2-0 at their self-hosted Holiday Tournament on Dec. 27-28.

The Eagles faced Covenant Christian in day one of tournament action. Richard Winn held a 41-6 lead at halftime and finished with a 59-17 final score.

Day two saw more of the same as the Eagles jumped out to a 23-4 lead over the SCISA 3A Ben Lippen team. The Falcons rallied in the second half, but Richard Winn held on for a 38-21 win.

Richard Winn is back in action on Friday as they host Wardlaw Academy. They will move into conference play on Jan. 9 at home against King Academy.
