Bengal soccer picks up Cane Bay and West Florence wins

CLOVER – With a season well underway, Blythewood boys soccer lost 4-0 to Clover High School on Tuesday. Jackson Gouvin had nine saves in the loss.

Prior to Tuesday’s game, the Bengals have picked up wins over Cane Bay High School and West Florence High School.

Assisted by KJ Blocker, Blythewood’s Connor Jackson scored Blythewood’s lone goal in the 1-0 win over Cane Bay on Feb. 28. Gouvin was credited with seven saves.

Jackson stuck again in the Bengals’ March 3 win over West Florence. Philip Huang, Blocker and Ryan Hart also scored in BHS’s  4-0 win against the Knights. Gouvin had six saves.

The Bengals will travel to Fort Mill for a Friday night match at 7:15 p.m.
